v1.4 - becoming addictive

Last weekend adding the Autopilot mode changed the game play a lot, in good sense.

After playing a while, I broke all previous records, and thought that going further could be possible. Then I tried a few new weapons, namely the triple cannon and the five-cannons.

The new gameplay mechanic approaches to kill-em-all at around level 50. Where enemies are everywhere and the infinite amount of weapons become sort of a fire-hose.

Fire hosing gets harder and harder in time, so this is the current playability limit of the game, but the feeling of winning or breaking a record is now much more fulfilling.

And, playing with a headset is great especially at the early levels, where you can here what's happening.

With progress in levels, the sound level becomes dull, yet the sound of explosions of enemy aliens is quite fulfilling.

I can finally say that the game is worth several minutes of joy.

Future updates will certainly include

1) achivement sounds, like switching to better weapons (maybe with some weapon powerup?).

2) some sort of a pause to let the player cool down at around level 30. Maybe intermediate

3) some sort of a boarding process at the first levels, for newbies to get used to the keys.

4) why not make the manual drive more agile, and so alternating between Autopilot ON and OFF makes sense? (Currently, turn on the autopilot and use 1-2-3-4 keys to rapidly change directions.)
